To become a Ghost Maker, a six-month apprenticeship must be undertaken. During this time, each Maker learns to craft a variety of rare and unusual Ghosts, while developing their own distinctive style and meeting daily production quotas. Ghost Making is a highly skilled art, requiring dedication, precision, and creativity.
Every Ghost Maker working with us is represented by their own personal flag, designed by Mr Bloodworth. Each flag incorporates colours and symbols that hold deep sentiment and significance to the individual Maker. These flags were featured on the Makers’ cards included in the most recent Happenstance release. The Ghosts that crown these flagpoles are known as Finials.
Miss Cowings was one of the first Ghost Makers to join The Ghost Merchants. This Clandestine release marks her 5th year practicing the art of Ghost Making.
In this Ghost, an explosion of muted blues and greens merge with soft yellows and pinks to create a patchwork of pastel tones, then fractured by a network of thin cracks like black veins. The mosaic of fragmented colours is complimented by a sleek, polished finish.
Miss Cowings’ personal stamp, a delicate folding fan, will be impressed on the base of each of these creations.
Other makers’ Finial Ghosts will be available over the course of the year as Clandestine releases.
PLEASE ENSURE ENTRY DETAILS ARE CORRECT - THESE WILL BE USED FOR SHIPPING.
Ghosts will be dispatched by Friday 7th August. Orders are marked ‘Pending’ until dispatch.
As with all our Ghosts, the nature of hand-making gives unpredictable results. All Ghosts are unique and markings and colour will vary slightly from Ghost to Ghost.
